2.) Postcard activism: GM edition

I’ve initated a project called “Postcard Activism” which intends to challenge prevailing assumptions with a graphic product. It is a visual response to the infamous talking points, which regularly convert politicians and pundits into repetitive wackos. The cards could be mailed to congressional delegates, executive branch agencies, journalists, etc.

The card is not meant to point out the “upside” of the massive 14-plant closing GM announced recently as a part of its restructuring. Instead, the card presents a longer view, one that is at least positive by presenting the closures as a step towards a (forced) reduction in our obsession with the automobile.
