About
May 1, 2010Andrew Liebchen’s early status as a space cadet was confirmed by this quote from the Sun-Sentinal, his boyhood local paper:
It’s about three gentlemen who travel from Earth to the moon and back in an enormous bullet fired from a huge cannon. Then they pick up the gravitational pull of the moon, and sling-shot back to earth. I liked it because I like science fiction. They traveled into outer space. Someday I’d like to travel in space.
–5th grader Andrew Liebchen, reading Jules Verne’s From Earth to the Moon.
Andrew has a Master’s in Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a BFA in Design and Technical Theatre from UNC Greensboro. He currently runs Deelux, a Providence-based design firm, with his wife Chelsea. Among his many talents are cat wrangling, sarcasm, and wishful thinking. In case you were wondering, “Liebchen” is German for “sweetheart.”
